The Christmas Bookshop Review
This was my first Jenny Colgan book and since I read this book, I’ve gone onto read others. The Christmas Bookshop is about Carmen, who has just lost a job and moved in with her lawyer sister, Sophia, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Sophia has a client who owns a bookshop who needs some help. Carmen goes to live with Sophia in Edinburgh and work at that bookshop.
You could describe Carmen as bit of a hot mess, while her sister is the complete opposite — the one who has it all together.
The book centers around this bookshop and Sophia’s family, especially her children. I loved watching Carmen’s transformation. And I simply thought Edinburgh is the perfect setting for a Christmas book.
